BlackBerry PlayBook 2 Holiday 2011, Surprised?
It wasn’t long ago when we were all looking forward to RIM’s entry into the tablet market with the release of their shiny BlackBerry PlayBook. After much criticism regarding its software and application availability at launch, it comes as no surprise to see RIM working steadily on its successor.
So far, the new PlayBook 2 is rumored to sport a 10-inch screen, Sim Card slot, BES connectivity (without the need for BlackBerry Bridge), 4G/WiFi (without a 3G version), and the option of either a black or white model. Based on these additions, we can not see any significant changes to warrant an upgrade, but without any official release date (rumored 2011 Q4) or any further details on the specifications of the device, it is too soon to tell if this device will make an impact in the industry. Let’s see what you got RIM!
