Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S II Official Accessories With Pricing
For all of you who can’t wait to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S II come July 21st, here’s an exclusive look at the pricing and images of the upcoming accessories to accent the self pronounced ‘King of Android Devices’. Continue after the break for the full-sized list, additional photo’s, and information.
Samsung will also start selling a TV Out cable to support their new MHL connection for $29.95. This seems a little pricey especially since the adapter which might be necessary for this cable, will add an additional $49.95 (See below). The good news is that more devices are beginning to adopt this new MHL connection, so hopefully we will see third-party cables coming out for a lot less.
Samsung is planning on releasing many protective shields to ensure the everlasting beauty of the Galaxy S II. As we can see from the list, the shields will be available in many various colours ranging from smoke and black all the way to purple. A great addition to the lineup is the highly regarded and indestructible Otterbox cases. Even imagining the Galaxy S II falling onto any hard surface would send chills down our spines, so the Otterbox will be an important and crucial add-on to purchase, especially at a measly $34.95.
Samsung is also planning on releasing various parts that can be easily lost or damaged over time such as a battery cover, power cable, and battery. Pricing seems slightly steep for these items, especially the back cover at $19.95, considering the thinness and frightening flexibility. While dates on the accessories are not yet disclosed, we’d assume many or even all the accessories will be available at launch or within a 2-3 week period following.
Update: Any accessory name listed in the table above with the word “Bell” are actually aftermarket/third party. (Thanks WorldIRC from HoFo)
