HP Makes A U-Turn On Its Decision To Sell Off PC Division
New CEO Meg Whitman has only been on the job for 5 weeks but has already reversed the major decision to sell off the PC division, a decision that led to the ousting of her predecessor. After a review of the decision to sell off the PC division, it was decided that selling it off would be more costly than previously thought and keeping it would be more valuable to the company. Whitman has also stated that she will consider bringing back tablet PCs and may even revive the WebOS operating system that powered HP’s TouchPad tablet.
