Droid 4 (Milestone 4) To Have A Form Factor Similar To Its Razr Predecessor

Here’s one that has been kept under wraps (a good feeling to feel surprised by a new device huh?), it’s the Motorola Droid 4, otherwise known as the Milestone 4. This device is set for launch shortly in the US as documents suggest Verizon will be launching the device along side the Galaxy Nexus on Dec. 8th. More images and specs sheet after the break.

From the looks of it the device appears to be almost identical to the Droid Razr but with one key difference. The feature that sets them apart comes in the form of a 5 row  QWERTY keyboard. Of course this comes with a size difference as well, compared to the Razr this device is a mere 5.1mm larger in width. See below for a full breakdown of specs and even a handy comparison chart to the previous Droid 3 (Milestone 3) and the recently launched Droid Razr. This smartphone is a great addition to the Motorola Droid lineup and being known for its superb keyboard it fills a void in the list of Android devices with a physical keyboard. No word yet on carriers here in Canada but my bet would be on Bell picking this device up if the past has any indication of their interest in the Milestone line of devices. One downside we see in this device is the inability to remove the battery and for that matter the back cover, on the fly that is. See the last image for a view on the removal tool for the back cover.
