Yesterday at Microsoft’s mystery keynote, Steve Ballmer and company unvield to the public the evolution in Windows and tablet computing. Microsoft presented a beautiful 10.6″ ClearType HD tablet measuring as thin as 9.3mm and weighing as light as 676g thanks to Microsoft’s new VaporMg material running in either two Windows flavours, RT and Pro. Windows RT will be based … off of support for mobile ARM processors which will be found in more budget-friendly Windows tablets while Windows 8 Pro is geared towards the users that wish to take their PC on the go in a more travel friendly form factor without sacrificing performance. Microsoft did showcase a new innovative dual purpose screen cover which left many in awe. The new screen covers, called Touch Cover and Type Cover, are exactly as they sound with the Touch Cover presenting a full QWERTY laptop style rubberized keyboard on the soft surface cover while the Type Cover presents a full QWERTY keyboard with physical buttons.
